Our Last Fundraising Event
Showcase of local and small businesses -
Christmas Fayre.
Saturday 10th November 2012. 10am - 4pm.
Clarbeston Road Memorial Hall,
SA63 4QH.
This
year we changed our venue. Variety is the spice of life!
Clarbeston Road Hall is opposite The Cross Inn and
the doors opened at 10am. The quality
stalls solved lots of Christmas present dilemmas.
It was very special for visitors to the fayre to be
able to buy
home crafted products whilst also supporting our local economy and
businesses at the same time.
St Meilyrs itself had a 'nearly new' stall and
offered refreshments - the home made soup went down
a storm and the homemade cakes were to die for. There
was a raffle with many local businesses donating
wonderful and exciting prizes. The free
children's activity room was always busy.
As a church we give a tenth of our general income to
support a number of charities. Our nominated charities
for 2012 are:
Plant Dewi; Anglicans in World Mission; Shelter Cymru.
It costs us about £90.00 a week to keep the doors
of our tiny church open. All support and any
donations large or small are always very much
appreciated. Thank you.

Charitable Giving
We give a tenth of our general income, after
having paid for the Diocesan Parish Share, to support a
number of charities, both at home and abroad. The PCC meet annually to
apportion donations.
